Born 1994 in a small village on the hills of Trento, Benjamin starts playing with analog cameras already in the first years of his life; thanks to the passion for photography of the mother who also owned a little dark room, the approach turned into a game of research and experimentation.

His adolescence is marked by a recurring presence of photography in different stages, developing together with the interests of the growing process, switching from an introvert research on floral and natural patterns of the woods surrounding his house to a later more extrovert interest in portraits and events like concerts and general reportage.

At the age of 21 Benjamin decides to start a journey into discovering on another level his passion which leads him to Milan where he attends the biannual course of “photography and new technologies” at the prestigious CFP Bauer. 

The school gives a great opportunity to discover the introspective way of researching through photography, an artsy approach that is more into expressing concepts and personality than representing reality for the way it is.

The needings of the life in Milan push him to start assisting while still attending the school; everything starts in Condè Nast studios where for 4 years he worked as light assistant for both studio and location shootings.

From the experiences and connections at Condè Nast Benjamin starts assisting different photographers in the following years: from still life, to interiors, to beauty commercial he assisted many ending up in finding fashion photography as the one that was better suited than any other to him. 

What makes fashion photography the most interesting to him is the research of a deeper point of view starting from one of the most basic and oldest concepts of social costumes, clothing. Not only as pieces of fabrics but mainly as social statement and personal expression of our inner aesthetic.

The research of beauty is a goal that keeps the personal research always alive; styling, make up, hair styling, set design are all involved into creating a common vision, is not taking a picture but a collective dinamic birth of an image.

After 6 years of precious experience working as light assistant and first assistant for international photographers and agencies Benjamin decides to slowly start his own journey into photography and discovering his ways of expression.
